Neurosurgery and neurology device
This group covers instruments, implants and monitors used in brain and spine surgery and in neurology care. It includes cranial drills, neuroendoscopes, hydrocephalus shunts, intracranial pressure monitors, aneurysm clips, dural substitutes and diagnostic devices for neurology departments.
Common types
- Hydrocephalus shunts: ventriculoperitoneal and similar systems with fixed or programmable valves.
- Intracranial pressure monitoring: catheter-tip sensors or fluid systems with a monitor.

What to tell us when you ask for a quotation
- Exact product type and intended procedure
- For shunts: valve type (fixed or programmable), pressure range and catheter lengths
- For ICP monitors: sensor type, compatibility with existing patient monitors, single-use components
- For implants: sizes, shapes and material, plus applier instruments
- MRI compatibility statements for implants and programmable valves
- Sterile packaging and quantities per size
- Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).
Documents to ask for
Buyers ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or the destination country's registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, ISO 10993 biocompatibility data and sterilisation validation for implants, ISO 7197 for hydrocephalus shunts and ISO 9713 for aneurysm clips.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Is a programmable shunt valve affected by MRI?
Some programmable valves can change setting in a strong magnetic field and need checking after MRI, while others are designed to resist this. The maker's MRI conditional labelling states the conditions, so ask for it.
