Sourcing and compliance consultancy
Advisory work engaged on its own terms, with no obligation to source through us afterwards.
NJMC provides sourcing and compliance consultancy separately from its supply work, with no obligation to purchase afterwards. Engagements cover supplier assessment, establishing what a destination market's regulator requires, and evaluating whether a supplier manufactures or trades.
Sourcing decisions are usually made with incomplete information. A buyer knows what they need clinically or technically, but not which supplier market can meet it, what documentation the regulator will demand, or how to distinguish a manufacturer from a trading company with a convincing website.
This is separate from our sourcing work and is engaged separately. There is no requirement to buy through us afterwards, and the advice is more useful for that reason.
Where we advise
Supplier assessment
Establishing whether a supplier manufactures or trades, whether their certification is current and genuine, and whether the site named on it is the site producing your material.
Regulatory and compliance
Working out what a destination market actually requires, and whether a given supplier can produce it. Cheaper to answer before an order than after.
Market entry
What a supplier market can realistically deliver, at what quality, before procurement commits budget to it.
Who engages us
Hospitals and healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers and formulators, distributors and importers, and companies entering a China or India supplier market for the first time.
Why a scientist rather than a broker
Most sourcing intermediaries are commercial operations. The technical questions that decide whether a material works, impurity profiles, polymorphic form, excipient functionality, biocompatibility evidence, are exactly the questions a commercial intermediary is least equipped to ask. That is the gap this practice exists to fill.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to buy through NJMC after a consultancy engagement?
No. The consultancy work is engaged separately from sourcing and carries no obligation to purchase afterwards. The advice is more useful for that reason.
How do you tell a manufacturer from a trading company?
By asking which site produced a specific batch and checking that the quality certification names that site. A manufacturer can answer directly. A trader frequently cannot, and the certification shown may belong to another party.
Who typically engages this service?
Hospitals and healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers and formulators, distributors and importers, and companies entering a China or India supplier market for the first time.
