Medical aesthetics device
Medical aesthetics devices use light, laser, radiofrequency, ultrasound or other energy to treat skin, hair and body contour, and imaging tools to analyse skin. They are used in dermatology clinics, plastic surgery centres and aesthetic clinics.
Common types
- Aesthetic lasers: diode lasers for hair removal, and fractional, Q-switched or picosecond lasers for skin and pigment.
- Intense pulsed light (IPL): broad-spectrum light for hair removal and pigment and vascular lesions.
- Radiofrequency and microneedling RF: heat the deeper skin layers for tightening.
- Focused ultrasound: delivers energy to set depths for skin lifting.
- Skin analysis and dermatoscopy: cameras and dermatoscopes that image and record skin features.

Documents to ask for
Buyers typically ask for CE marking under the EU MDR, which through its Annex XVI also covers hair removal, skin resurfacing and body contouring equipment sold without a medical purpose, or the destination country's registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, IEC 60601-1 test reports, IEC 60601-2-22 for lasers or IEC 60601-2-57 for IPL, and IEC 60825-1 for laser product safety.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Is a beauty device the same as a medical aesthetics device?
Not always. Some low-energy devices are sold as consumer or beauty products, while higher-energy lasers and energy devices are regulated as medical devices in many countries. Check how the destination country classifies the device before ordering.
Send us the specification and quantity. We compare manufacturers in China and reply with options, lead times and the documents that come with each product. NJMC sources and checks; it does not manufacture.
