Real-time PCR system
A real-time PCR system amplifies DNA or RNA targets and measures fluorescence during each cycle to detect and quantify them. It is used in clinical, public health and research laboratories for infectious disease, genetic and oncology testing.
Common types
- 96-well system: the most common format for routine clinical testing.
- 384-well system: higher density plates for large screening volumes.
- Compact low throughput system: 16 to 48 wells for smaller laboratories or field use.
- Portable or rapid cycler: designed for fast runs outside central laboratories.
- Digital PCR system: partitions the sample to give absolute quantification.
What to tell us when you ask for a quotation
- Number of wells and plate or tube format
- Number of fluorescence channels and their wavelength ranges
- Temperature uniformity, ramp rate and gradient function
- Compatibility with open or closed assay kits
- Software features, data export and LIS connection
- Power supply, plug type and installation space
- Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).
Documents to ask for
Buyers usually request CE marking under the EU IVDR or the destination country's IVD registration if used for diagnosis, ISO 13485 for the maker and IEC 61010-1 and IEC 61010-2-101 test reports. Research use only instruments carry no IVD claim.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
What does a research use only label mean for a hospital?
An instrument labelled research use only has no diagnostic registration, so results from it should not be used for patient diagnosis in regulated markets. Hospitals needing clinical use should request an IVD registered model.
Send us the specification and quantity. We compare manufacturers in China and reply with options, lead times and the documents that come with each product. NJMC sources and checks; it does not manufacture.
