Microbiology analyser
Microbiology analysers detect, identify and test bacteria and fungi in clinical samples. Hospital microbiology laboratories and reference labs use them for blood culture, organism identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing to guide infection management.
Common types
- Blood culture system: incubates culture bottles and flags positive growth automatically.
- Identification and susceptibility system: identifies organisms and tests antibiotic sensitivity using test cards or panels.
- MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer: identifies organisms from a colony by protein profile.
- Colony counter: counts colonies on culture plates manually or by image.
- Endotoxin or sterility test system: used mainly in pharmaceutical and quality control laboratories.

Documents to ask for
Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU IVDR or destination country IVD registration, ISO 13485 for the maker and IEC 61010-1 and IEC 61010-2-101 test reports. Culture bottles and test cards are registered as separate IVD products.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Are the blood culture bottles tied to one system?
Yes, in most cases. Each automated blood culture system detects growth through sensors built into its own bottles, so bottles from another system cannot be used.
