Haematology analyser
A haematology analyser counts and classifies blood cells in a whole blood sample to produce a complete blood count. Hospitals, clinics and private laboratories use it daily for routine screening and follow up.
Common types
- 3-part differential analyser: separates white cells into three groups by impedance and suits smaller clinics.
- 5-part differential analyser: identifies five white cell types using laser scatter or flow cytometry methods.
- Analyser with autoloader: handles racks of closed tubes for higher volume laboratories.
- Veterinary haematology analyser: calibrated for animal species, sold separately from human models.
- ESR analyser: measures erythrocyte sedimentation rate, often as a standalone instrument.
What to tell us when you ask for a quotation
- 3-part or 5-part differential, and the parameters reported
- Throughput in samples per hour
- Open tube, closed tube or autoloader sampling
- Sample volume per test and pre-dilution mode for capillary samples
- Reagent consumption per test and reagent pack sizes
- LIS connectivity, built in printer, power supply and plug type
- Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).
Documents to ask for
Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU IVDR or the destination country's IVD registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, and IEC 61010-1 with IEC 61010-2-101 test reports. Registration of the dedicated reagents and controls is also requested.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
What is the practical difference between a 3-part and a 5-part analyser?
A 3-part analyser groups white cells into lymphocytes, mid cells and granulocytes. A 5-part analyser separates neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils, giving more detail at a higher instrument and reagent cost.
