Gynaecology and obstetrics device
Gynaecology and obstetrics devices are the equipment and instruments used to examine women, manage labour and delivery, and carry out gynaecological procedures. They are used in maternity units, delivery rooms, gynaecology clinics and outpatient departments.
Common types
- Delivery bed: an adjustable bed with a removable foot section and leg supports for labour and birth.
- Gynaecological examination table: a fixed or electric couch with leg rests for pelvic examination.
- Colposcope: a magnifying instrument with a light for examining the cervix.
- Vacuum delivery system: a pump and cup used to assist delivery.
- Gynaecological instruments and disposables: specula, biopsy forceps, IUDs and cervical sampling kits.
What to tell us when you ask for a quotation

- Manual or electric operation, voltage and plug type for powered equipment
- For instruments: material, sizes and whether reusable or single-use sterile
- For colposcopes: magnification range, light source and camera or image capture

- Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).
Documents to ask for
Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or local registration and ISO 13485 for the maker, plus IEC 60601-1 reports for powered equipment and sterilisation validation such as ISO 11135 or ISO 11137 for sterile single-use items.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Should specula be reusable or single-use?
Both are common. Stainless steel specula are reprocessed between patients and suit clinics with reliable sterilisation, while single-use plastic specula avoid reprocessing but add a recurring cost. The choice depends on volumes and the clinic's sterilisation capacity.
