Surgical drape

Surgical drapes create a sterile field around the surgical site and cover patients and equipment. Operating theatres, procedure rooms and day surgery units use them in single items or procedure packs.

Common types

  • Universal drape pack: basic drapes for general surgery.
  • Procedure specific pack: drapes designed for one procedure.
  • Fenestrated drape: with an opening for the surgical site.
  • Equipment cover: for microscopes, C-arms or cameras.
  • Custom procedure pack: includes drapes, gowns and other items.

Documents to ask for

Buyers request CE marking with EN 13795-1, ISO 13485 for the maker and ISO 11135 or ISO 11137 sterilisation validation.

Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.

Can a procedure pack be customised?

Yes. Many makers can build packs to a hospital's list, but each pack needs its own label and sterilisation validation.
