Room disinfection equipment

Room disinfection equipment disperses a disinfectant such as hydrogen peroxide vapour or mist through an enclosed room to reduce microorganisms on exposed surfaces. Hospitals, laboratories and pharmaceutical cleanrooms use it after cleaning, typically between patients or after contamination.

Common types

  • Hydrogen peroxide vapour generator: produces vapour for room decontamination.
  • Hydrogen peroxide dry mist system: disperses fine particles of solution.
  • Mobile system: moved between rooms.
  • Integrated system: built into cleanrooms or isolators.
  • Biological and chemical indicators: used to check cycle performance.

Documents to ask for

Buyers usually request efficacy test reports, often to EN 17272, along with CE marking and biocidal product registration of the disinfectant where required by local law.

Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.

Does room decontamination replace manual cleaning?

No. Vapour and mist systems work on cleaned surfaces, so dirt and organic matter must be removed first. They are an extra step after cleaning.
