Air and surface disinfection equipment

Air and surface disinfection equipment reduces microorganisms in room air or on surfaces using UV light, filtration, plasma or other methods. Hospitals, clinics, laboratories and public buildings use it in wards, operating rooms and waiting areas.

Common types

  • UV-C lamp: fixed or mobile lamp for unoccupied rooms.
  • Mobile UV-C robot: moves through a room and records exposure.
  • Upper room UV unit: treats air above head height.
  • Air purifier with HEPA filter: filters particles from room air.
  • Plasma or ozone unit: disinfects air, with limits on use in occupied rooms.

Documents to ask for

Buyers usually ask for CE marking, IEC 62471 photobiological safety reports for UV products, efficacy test reports and ozone emission data where relevant.

Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.

Can UV-C lamps be used with people in the room?

Direct UV-C exposure harms skin and eyes, so most UV-C lamps are used only in empty rooms with interlocks. Upper room units are designed for occupied spaces.
