Medical water treatment

Medical water treatment systems produce purified water for haemodialysis, laboratory analysers, sterile services and pharmacies. Hospitals and clinics install them so that the water used in each department meets the quality its standards or equipment makers require.

Common types

  • Dialysis reverse osmosis system: produces water for haemodialysis.
  • Laboratory water purifier: supplies water for analysers.
  • Central RO system: supplies several departments.
  • Double pass RO: higher purity for dialysis or pharmacy.
  • Electrodeionisation: polishes RO water without chemical regeneration.

What to tell us when you ask for a quotation

  • Output volume per hour
  • Water quality grade and target conductivity
  • Feed water analysis
  • Pre-treatment, storage tank and distribution loop
  • Disinfection method: heat or chemical
  • Power supply, plug type and installation space
  • Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).

Documents to ask for

Buyers ask for CE marking where the system is a medical device, ISO 13485 for the maker and conformity with ISO 23500 for dialysis water.

Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.

Why is a feed water analysis needed?

Pre-treatment and membrane choice depend on hardness, chlorine and other contaminants in local water. Without it the system may not meet quality targets.
