Ventilator
A ventilator moves gas into and out of the lungs for patients who cannot breathe adequately on their own. ICU ventilators serve intensive care units, while transport and emergency ventilators serve ambulances, emergency departments and patient transfers.
Common types
- ICU ventilator: full range of invasive and non-invasive modes, for adult, paediatric and often neonatal patients.
- Neonatal ventilator: designed for very small tidal volumes, often with high-frequency oscillation.
- Transport ventilator: compact, battery powered, for ambulances and in-hospital transfers.
- Emergency ventilator: simple gas-driven unit for resuscitation and field use.
- Turbine-driven ventilator: generates its own airflow and can run without a medical air supply.
What to tell us when you ask for a quotation
- Patient range (neonatal, paediatric, adult) and invasive and non-invasive modes required
- Gas source: high-pressure oxygen and air, or turbine with low-pressure oxygen
- Screen size, monitoring values and data export to a central station
- Battery duration and mounting (trolley, bed rail, ambulance bracket)
- Accessories: breathing circuits, humidifier, flow sensors, test lung
- Power supply voltage, plug type and gas hose connection standard
- Quantity, destination country and the delivery terms you want (for example EXW, FOB or CIF).
Documents to ask for
Buyers typically ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or the destination country's registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, and test reports to IEC 60601-1 with ISO 80601-2-12 for critical care ventilators or ISO 80601-2-84 for emergency and transport ventilators.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Do we need medical air for the ventilator?
Ventilators driven by compressed gas need a medical air supply or a compressor. Turbine ventilators generate their own airflow and need only oxygen, which suits facilities without piped medical air.
Send us the specification and quantity. We compare manufacturers in China and reply with options, lead times and the documents that come with each product. NJMC sources and checks; it does not manufacture.
