Anaesthesia consumables
Anaesthesia consumables are the single-use items used to manage the airway and deliver anaesthesia, such as tubes, masks, breathing circuits, filters and regional anaesthesia needles. They are used in operating theatres, intensive care, emergency departments and ambulances.
Common types
- Airway devices: endotracheal tubes, laryngeal masks, tracheostomy tubes and oropharyngeal airways.
- Breathing circuits: corrugated or expandable circuits for anaesthesia machines and ventilators.
- Filters and HMEs: bacterial and viral filters and heat and moisture exchangers.
- Face masks: anaesthesia masks in adult, paediatric and neonatal sizes.
- Regional anaesthesia: spinal and epidural needles and kits, and nerve block needles.

Documents to ask for
Buyers typically ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or the destination country's registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, ISO 11135 or ISO 11137 sterilisation validation, ISO 5361 for tracheal tubes and ISO 9360 for heat and moisture exchangers.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Should we buy circuits with filters included?
Kits with a filter, bag and catheter mount can simplify stock and set-up, while separate items give more flexibility. State your preferred configuration so makers quote like for like.
Send us the specification and quantity. We compare manufacturers in China and reply with options, lead times and the documents that come with each product. NJMC sources and checks; it does not manufacture.
