Documents to ask for
Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or local registration for pens, needles, syringes and pumps, CE marking under the EU IVDR for glucose meters and strips, ISO 13485 for the maker, ISO 11608 for pens and pen needles, ISO 8537 for insulin syringes, and ISO 15197 for blood glucose meters.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Do pen needles fit every insulin pen?
Most pen needles use a common thread that fits the major pen systems, but buyers should confirm compatibility with the pens used in their market. The maker should state which pens the needle has been tested with.
