  • Safety needle: has a shield or hinge that covers the tip after use.
  • Pen needle: a short, fine needle that screws onto an insulin or other injection pen.
  • Dental needle: a double-ended needle for dental cartridge syringes.
  • Blood collection and specialist needles: needles for vacuum tubes, spinal or epidural use.

Documents to ask for

Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or local registration, ISO 13485 for the maker, ISO 7864 for sterile hypodermic needles, ISO 9626 for the needle tubing, and sterilisation validation to ISO 11135 or ISO 11137.

Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.

What does the hub colour mean?

Hub colours follow an international code linked to the needle gauge, so staff can identify the size quickly. Buyers should confirm the maker follows the standard code so that colours match what clinicians expect.
