- Ophthalmic viscosurgical device: a gel injected into the eye during cataract surgery to protect tissue and keep space.
- Eye pads, patches and shields: cover and protect the eye after surgery or injury.
- Contact lenses: soft or rigid lenses for vision correction or as a bandage lens.
- Surgical packs and drapes: sterile packs and eye drapes for ophthalmic procedures.

Documents to ask for
Buyers usually ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or local registration and ISO 13485 for the maker, with ISO 15798 for viscosurgical devices and ISO 18369 for contact lenses; medicated eye drops are usually registered as medicines rather than devices.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Are eye drops medical devices or medicines?
Most eye drops containing an active drug are medicines and need a medicines registration. Some lubricating drops are classed as medical devices in certain markets, so buyers should check how the destination country classifies the exact product.
