Documents to ask for
Buyers ask for CE marking under the EU MDR or US FDA clearance, ISO 13485 for the maker and test reports to ISO 80601-2-56, which covers clinical thermometers.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Are forehead thermometers as accurate as ear or oral thermometers?
Forehead readings can be affected by sweat, room temperature and distance, so they are mainly used for screening. Ear, oral or rectal readings are usually preferred when an exact value matters.
