Rapid test kit
A rapid test kit gives a visual result within minutes, usually by lateral flow on a strip or cassette. Clinics, pharmacies, emergency rooms, screening programmes and homes use them for infectious disease, pregnancy, drug and cardiac marker testing.
Common types
- Cassette test: strip inside a plastic housing with sample and result windows.
- Strip test: dipped directly into the sample.
- Midstream test: held in the urine stream, common for pregnancy tests.
- Multi drug panel or cup: tests several drugs of abuse at once.
- Self test kit: designed and labelled for use by lay people.

Documents to ask for
Buyers ask for CE marking under the EU IVDR or destination country IVD registration, ISO 13485 for the maker and clinical performance data. Some public programmes request WHO prequalification for tests such as HIV or malaria.
Certificates and registrations belong to the product and its manufacturer. We check them with you against the rules of your market before any order.
Is a professional use test allowed for self testing?
Not in regulated markets. Self tests need separate assessment and labelling for lay users, so the registration must cover self testing if the kits will be sold to the public.
Send us the specification and quantity. We compare manufacturers in China and reply with options, lead times and the documents that come with each product. NJMC sources and checks; it does not manufacture.
